Earthsong was chosen as one of 20 ecovillages around the world to participate in a collaborative enquiry into the resilience of ecovillages to a +2.5 degree climate change scenario. From 2022 to May 2024, I represented Earthsong in the project’s monthly Community of Practice on-line calls with representatives of the other ecovillages, exploring aspects of resilience, learning processes to run workshops and activities with our communities and feeding back the results and experiences to the Resilience Project. This was an insightful and motivating experience for Earthsong which has contributed to our collective understanding of the challenges facing us, the strengths that villages such as ours bring to these challenges, and aspects where we are most vulnerable and could find ways to strengthen our resilience.
